A Mango Lassi is the perfect cool, creamy counterpoint to the heat of the butter chicken. It’s essentially a thick yogurt-based smoothie that takes about 5 minutes to whip up. Sunshine in a glass! ☀️🥭 There’s nothing quite like a cold, creamy Mango Lassi to balance out a spicy feast. It’s thick, silky-smooth, and has just that perfect hint of cardamom. It’s basically a tropical hug in drink form. Cheers to the ultimate summer refresher! 🥂✨
Creamy Mango Lassi
Prep time: 5 mins | Servings: 2

Ingredients
Item | Amount | Purpose |
Mango Pulp | 1 cup | Use canned Kesar or Alphonso pulp for the most authentic flavor (or 2 fresh ripe mangoes). |
Plain Yogurt | 1 cup | Thick, whole milk yogurt or Greek yogurt works best. |
Milk | ½ cup | To adjust the consistency (use cold milk). |
Honey or Sugar | 1–2 tbsp | Depending on how sweet your mangoes are. |
Cardamom Powder | ¼ tsp | For that signature aromatic finish. |
Ice Cubes | Handful | To keep it chilled and refreshing. |
Instructions
Combine: Add the mango pulp (or fresh cubes), yogurt, milk, sweetener, and cardamom powder into a blender.
Blend: Pulse until the mixture is completely smooth and frothy.
Check Consistency: If you prefer a thinner lassi, add a splash more milk. If you want it thicker, add more yogurt or a few more ice cubes.
Serve: Pour into tall glasses.
Garnish: Top with a tiny pinch of extra cardamom, a few strands of saffron, or some crushed pistachios for a fancy touch.

Pro Tip
If you are using fresh mangoes, make sure they are very ripe (soft to the touch) and not fibrous. If they are slightly stringy, you can strain the lassi through a mesh sieve before serving for a silky-smooth texture.
